Where is h2o just add water filmed?
In Australia, Sea World and Australia's Gold Coast.
how are the mermaid tails made?
Each tail is specially hand-crafted, the professional scultures first make a plaster cast of the legs and feet.
The tail is then constructed out of water proof materials, fit with a fin, painted, then scaled by hand.
Each tail has over 5000 plastic scales on it.
Made the crew behind Bella,in the picture below.

looks can be devising!!!
Well, scenes like Rikki's cafe, Cleo's bedroom and house and of course Will's boat shed are actually in a really big sound stage a studio surrounded by really big lights that actually simulate the sun.
SWIMMING WITH A TAIL!!!
Swimming with a tail is harder than it looks alot of training, because the tails weigh about 4 kilos when wet they have to be very strong swimmers.
So they train with a professional stunt trainer to strength their arms and legs and even learn breath-hold techniques, and before they put on their tails they tryed out this cool monal fin to represent their mermaid fin.
Indiana (Bella) say's 'that it's amazing going so fast underwater'.
They do alot of underwater filming so they are out and in their tails alot (alot).
Well they have to to go on a board so the crew can slide them in.

SCENES
Well, they are able to use locations.
hard work !!!
It takes seven months to film each series of H20, and they live away from home at the Gold Coast.
Have to work some pretty long hours to get the job done. They start work pretty early at about five o'clock am, so they have to get them selves up at about quarter-past four. As soon as they get to work go straight into the wardrobe for their character costumes, make up done then have breakfast and lastly go on set.

MAKE UP
The make-up team works on everyones hair and make-up five times a day. Even the boys need make-up.
So, when they are mermaids they have different lipstick, skin all that kind of stuff and lots and lots of sunscreen.
The makeup has to always be water proof for all the swimming actions, they even have special water proof body glitter, that gives them the magical glow. But there are some characters in H2O that don't need make up.
Make-up shakes and do that every time they shot so they keep an eye on them everyday to make sure we look good.
Make up for the is very different to the make up at home, it has to stay on for tens hours a day, so it is prossential appled to look fresh no matter what the location or weather.

imagination
This is where imagination comes in, well in where the water tentacle attacks they have to image a tentacle is attacking them.
STUNTS
So when Will got attacked by the water tentacle, the crew attached a jerk hartness.
For every stunt they do,they have professional stunt team arround them to make sure they are safe.
And when they dive into open water, they even have divers with special devises to shield them from sharks.

MUSIC
The music progess for bella started when she recieved the songs and she learn't them learn't the lyrics.
So then she went to Melborne to record them, so she had no idea how the recording progess worked.
But she went in there and listened to the songs, then she would go in a little separate room with headphones.
So she can hear the music but no one else arround her can she says 'its abit werid, but you get use to it'.

band
So when she went into the band rehearsal, then she had Pete come in and teach her how to perform in a band and things like that
but apparently she was so nervous but then it ended up being quite fun.
